JKS Restaurants are seeking a Sommelier to join their team for an exciting new opening in Dubai. The successful candidate will be personable, passionate and have exceptional wine knowledge and skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sommelier to join an award‑winning, critically acclaimed group, supporting a high‑profile opening.

Located in DIFC, Gymkhana Dubai will bring the classic Indian cuisine it is known for, alongside its heritage and signature hospitality, to the country for the first time.

The new location will remain true to the character that has defined the restaurant since its inception. Inspired by the historic gymkhana clubs of India, the interiors will feature rich timber panelling, brass detailing and Gymkhana’s signature palette of juniper green, red, cream and brass, creating a series of intimate dining spaces that reference the sporting and social heritage of these storied institutions.

Our menu will feature Gymkhana classics from London, including Aloo Chaat, Tandoori Masala Lamb Chops, Kid Goat Methi Keema, and Chicken Butter Masala, alongside dishes exclusive to the new location.

The Position

As Sommelier, you will be responsible for delivering the highest levels of service and an exceptional guest experience within the restaurant and private dining rooms. You will recommend and sell wines to customers both to complement their tastes and to pair with their menu choices.

The successful Sommelier will have:

An engaging and personable nature;
A passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional guest experience;
Prior experience as an Assistant Head Sommelier or Senior Sommelier within a quality restaurant;
WSET or equivalent Sommelier qualification;
A professional and confident communication style with fluent English language ability;
Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team;
An excellent knowledge of food and beverage;
The eagerness to continually learn and develop your career within hospitality.
